What happens during a wheel alignment?

An alignment essentially requires squaring a vehicle's wheels and axles with each other so that they're moving in the same direction. Each car's manufacturer designates standard angles for the alignment, specified in degrees. One of our technician will adjusts the various suspension angles that influence tire movement and position. These are known as toe, thrust, camber and caster. Here is how the process works.

• The technician will test drive your vehicle to determine exactly what is going on.
• They will put your vehicle on a lift and ensure there are no broken parts or excessive wear that may be effecting the alignment of the vehicle. If there are, we will recommend replacements and repairs.
• Tire pressure will be checked to ensure this is not effecting the alignment of your vehicle.
• Your vehicle will be hooked up to an alignment machine that will guide the technician in what adjustments need to be made to meet manufacturer recommended specifications for toe, camber, caster, and thrust.
• The technician will then ensure that the steering wheel is centered.
• Your vehicle will then be test driven a second time to confirm that the vehicle is back in alignment and driving smoothly.
